ISOWELL

Physics puzzle for your browser

Press the ground, never the ball. The surface dents into glowing contour lines and every ball rolls downhill into the dip. Drag the dent to steer, release and the ground springs back. Roll each ball into its matching basin before your ink runs out.

  • 120 levels in six worlds
  • One Daily Well level a day
  • Ink budget instead of timers

Inside the game

Browser game, mobile view. Select a screen to view it full size.

ISOWELL level 1, Groundwork: an amber ball at the bottom left, its amber basin ring at the top right, a “press here” marker beside the ball with an arrow toward the basin, and the ink bar at the top.
Press here, not the ballLevel 1 marks where to press: beside the ball, on the side facing its basin.
Pressing the ground on level 1: glowing contour rings bend into a dent with the amber ball at its centre, and a hint explains that you are pressing on the ball and should press beside it.
The ground dentsA press bends the contour lines into a well. Press beside the ball and it rolls toward your finger.
ISOWELL level 48, Thin Ice: a purple ball inside a press dent next to a pale translucent ice patch, two dark circles ringed in pink below it, an amber ball lower down, and amber and purple basin rings at the top.
Thin IceWorld 3 adds fragile glass and ice. Balls slide across ice, and glass shatters if you linger.
ISOWELL level 108, Deep Field: red, blue and light-blue balls gathered in a press dent between two dark slabs, a purple ball below, and three coloured basin rings around the top of the board.
Deep FieldThe last world combines heavy and light balls with permanent terrain.

How a level works

Press the ground

Beside the ball, not on it

Press and hold next to a ball. The ground dents into a well and the ball rolls downhill toward your finger. Pressing on the ball itself does not move it.

Drag, then release

Steer, then let the ground spring back

Drag the dent to steer the ball. When you release, the surface springs back and the ripple nudges nearby balls outward. Each ball sinks only into the basin of its own colour.

Ink, not timers

Think as long as you like

Every level has an ink budget that drains only while a press is shaping the ground. Using less ink earns more stars. A failed level restarts at once, and a hint ghost can replay a working solution on the board.

Six worlds, one idea each

Groundwork
Press, drag and guide two balls through corridors.
Uplift
Inverted zones where pressing raises a hill that pushes balls away.
Thin Ice
Fragile glass that shatters if you linger, and ice that barely slows a ball.
Drift
Basins that move along a track, and bumpers.
Threshold
Pads that open gates, and paired portals.
Deep Field
Heavy and light balls, permanent terrain and everything combined.
